EVENT:  Film and Memory - The Fourth Scottish Consortium for Film and Visual Studies Conference

The University of Stirling is hosting the Fourth Annual Scottish Consortium for Film and Visual Culture conference, which will be dedicated to the subject of Film and Memory.

Topics include:
Film and institutional memory
Film and personal and/or collective memory
Film and public/critical reception
Film and processes of remembering and forgetting
Film music and memory
Film studies and memory - remembering the BFI summer schools

The 2011 SCFVS Conference will also be marking the lives and the contributions to the study of film which our colleagues
Dr Mark Brownrigg at the University of Stirling and Professor John Orr from the University of Edinburgh made in the course of their respective careers.

Confirmed Keynote Speakers include Professor Richard Dyer (Kings College, London), Professor Andrew Hoskins (University of Glasgow) and
Professor Robert Burgoyne (University of St. Andrews).
